As I’m on the mend and Mark is home from Russia, it was time to get the bike out of the van and see just how badly damaged it was in the accident at Anglesey.
The answer is: Not too bad, really. Considering. The list is:
Fairing, mudguard, seat unit all broken. Will be going to Richard Dry at Motorcycle Cosmetic Repair to be fixed and tidied up. Tank was fine!
Stickers: Loads to replace. will be provided by Jamie Morris.
Bar end bung scuffed: Will be replaced from spares box
Front brake lever: Broken, will be replaced (ordered from China!)
Master Cylinder: Under investigation. Looks ok but keeping an eye on a leak.
Throttle: OK but sticky. Will be overhauled.
Footrests: Unsurprisingly, the footrest is fine, having been safely nestled in my foot during the accident. Just needs tightening.
Swingarm: Stand lug torn off, needs welding. Swingarm will be taken off this Sunday, taken to welders next week.
Crash bungs: Fine! Just full off mud.
That’s most of it. Will get pictures up as it progresses.
