Well after the recent pre season test in Almeria confirmed the bike was somewhere near I thought its time to get the thing looking right so was off with the fairings and down to our trusty painter Richard Dry at Motorcycle Cosmetic Repair near Fleet. Well it’s been a while since I’ve written anything for the team website, mostly because I’ve not been on a race bike in over a year, 14 months to be exact! And it hadn’t ended well then, with 2 crashes from podium positions at Thundersport GB causing 2 written off helmets, a set of leathers,
Excellent news! Mark collected my swingarm today from the welders, after the Anglesey crash. Lug welded back beautifully! Just all the other bits to fix now before I leave for the track on Thursday night… Eek!
As I’m on the mend and Mark is home from Russia, it was time to get the bike out of the van and see just how badly damaged it was in the accident at Anglesey. The answer is: Not too bad, really. Considering. The list is: Bodywork Fairing, mudguard, seat unit all broken. Will be
